In class we did an Solutions from Solids online lab which explained and gave us the species, Molarity, and the volume. For example here is a problem we had to do. 100 ml of solution that is 1.0 M in sodium cation, using sodium chloride. to solve this we had to use the Molarity equation , but we had to know what Solution and Solute is. Solution is aa homogenous mixture of 2 or more substances, Solute is an substance that is dissolved in another substance like chocolate.
The equation used was..
Molarity= # of solute
L of solution
This equation was used to determine the lab problems. We had to subsitute our information in the equation form above.
